Polyurethan Drive wheels
Drive and traction are two essential features of a ski slope. To ensure that the powerful snow grooming vehicles (with more than 500 bhp and a torque of 2,000 Nm) are able to transfer this traction from the gearbox to the chain and thus onto the snow, aluminium drive wheels coated with TECTHAN polyurethane are often used. The coating fulfils several tasks. First of all, it prevents the snow sticking to the bottoms of the tooth root, and secondly, the elastic coating greatly improves the vehicle’s riding comfort.
