Screening stars are used in various areas of processing technology to separate mixtures and agglomerates into different fractions of defined size. It does not matter whether the feed material is dry, moist or even wet. Due to the interlocked fit of the screen stars on the shafts and their properties, the screen stars clean each other and fine material to be separated falls through the gaps.
Due to these diverse conditions, the screen stars are subjected to particular stress. Polyurethane, with its excellent mechanical and elastomeric properties, is particularly well suited as a material for screen stars. Due to its high tear resistance, long service lives can be achieved even with sharp-edged conveyed materials (e.g. coated chipboard). Together with the low abrasion, the good UV resistance and the low tendency to form caking, our material is light years ahead of rubber products.
Thanks to our continuously expanded range of formulations, we can respond flexibly to special requirements. This allows us to offer the right solution for special requirements, such as antistatic screen stars or particularly microbe-resistant screen stars.
